Through a unique community partnership of three non-profits, a mental health film series was created in Athens, GA in May 2019. The Holistic Health + Empathy + Accessibility + Recovery, Film Series, known as ‘HEAR’, is a partnership between Ciné, Family Counseling Service of Athens and Nuçi’s Space.
The three organizations have curated film & videos relevant to their primary missions. They will screen movies every Saturday in February, beginning February 8th at Cine, free of charge. Family Counseling Services of Athens will provide post-screening Q&A sessions with licensed mental health professionals who specialize in addressing the issues depicted in each film.
The S Word will be screened on February 8th. Tickets for film screenings will be available free of charge at the Ciné box office on the day of each screening.
